About Us

CeHS Pride of the Pack

The Pride of the Pack is the loudest club on campus. We support the football team every Friday night and oftentimes will compete the next day. We strive for musical and visual excellence and work harder than most people will realize. Students need to make sure they are playing their music correctly, in tune, blended, with correct dynamics and articulations, all while making sure their instruments are pointed the right way, their feet are in time, they are within the form, and can remember all 60 pages of formations.

2025 Field Show

Ladies and gentlemen, the Centennial High School Marching Band invites you to embark on a daring voyage across the open sea! Our story begins with the discovery of a weathered map—its ink faded, its edges torn, but its promise unmistakable. A single mark… an X. Treasure untold awaits those brave enough to seek it.

The crew assembles, sails are raised, and with music as their wind, they leave behind the safety of the shore. But as the journey continues, the seas grow restless. The horizon darkens. The ship is drawn into uncharted waters—territory unknown, where danger hides beneath every crashing wave.

Then—conflict. Rival pirates emerge from the fog, and battle ignites across the sea! Brass and percussion collide like cannon fire; woodwinds twist through the chaos like gusts of wind. Amid the storm, the crew fights with courage and conviction.

And when the dust settles, silence gives way to triumph. The treasure is found—not gold or jewels, but the glory of the journey itself. Through challenge and courage, they’ve proven that the greatest reward lies not at the mark… but in the voyage toward it.

This is “X Marks the Spot!”

What Does ABODA Mean?

ABODA (Arizona Band & Orchestra Directors Association) is like AIA for music. Bands are judged in Marching, Concert, and Jazz on five areas:

  • Music Performance (most important, 2 judges): accuracy, tone, tuning
  • Visual Performance: technique, posture, spacing, timing
  • General Effect: how well the visual matches the music, use of props/guard
  • Percussion: battery/front ensemble playing together, balance, technique
  • Auxiliary (Guard): silks, costumes, choreography, integration with show
