I've been at CeHS for 11 years and have been teaching 21 years overall. I have a Masters of Music Education from Boston University and a Bachelors of Music Education from Northern Arizona University. I am a product of Peoria Unified, having attended Alta Loma and graduated from the Peoria High School.

When I have spare time, I spend time with my husband, son, and chocolate lab. My hobbies include reading, sewing, and travelling.

Andrew Barnard is a U.S. Army veteran, percussion director, and music educator with a proven track record of competitive excellence. A former section leader at Southeast High School and performer with Manatee County Indoor, Andrew served six years in the military with two deployments before returning to instruct. He has served on the percussion staff at Centennial High School since 2019, previously taught at Sunrise High School, and led Liberty High School to a Best Overall Percussion at state in 2021. He also spent four years as the Director of North Peoria Indoor Percussion.
Andrew shares his life with his wife, Heather, of 12 years and their three children, Jaxon, Seth, and Gracelynn.

Visual Instructor and Drill Writer
This will be Klay's third season working with Centennial High School as a visual instructor and second year as drill writer. He is an Arizona native who has been involved with the marching arts activity for over 30 years as a fan, performer, volunteer, and instructor.

This will be Klay's third season working with Centennial High School as a visual instructor and second year as drill writer. He is an Arizona native who has been involved with the marching arts activity for over 30 years as a fan, performer, volunteer, and instructor.
Klay spent nine years marching baritone and euphonium with various ensembles throughout Arizona. He marched four summers with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps including the 2006 Division II World Championship season. He has been a visual instructor and drill writer at numerous programs in the Peoria Unified and Glendale Union Districts where he helped win multiple visual caption awards. In the winter season, Klay teaches at Epicenter, an Open Class indoor percussion program.
Klay graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Social Studies. Outside of the marching world, he works in office job in Marketing and enjoys spending his free time with his wife Ashley and their dog Jasper.

Sheena Howard is on her 4th season as the Color Guard Instructor at Centennial High School, a position she has held since 2023. She has been active in color guard since 2011 and is also a trained violinist—a unique combination that allows her to provide students with both visual and musical perspectives. Before joining Centennial, she choreographed and volunteered with Sunnyslope High School and pursued continued performance and music education at Northern Arizona University, where she performed with the collegiate band, marching band, and symphony orchestra.
Sheena is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Northern Arizona University. Outside of band life, Sheena enjoys discovering new restaurants with her husband, Corey, and dog, Luna.

Before joining Centennial, Corey marched with the Academy Drum & Bugle Corps during the 2016, 2017, and 2019 seasons. He also studied Music Performance at Northern Arizona University, where he performed with the university’s concert and symphony bands.
Corey is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Conservation & Ecology at Arizona State University. Outside of band life, Corey enjoys exploring wildlife and new hobbies with his wife Sheena and dog, Luna.

Brent McGinn has been coaching marching band in Arizona for over 10 years. He began his marching career at Corona del Sol on flute before switching to tuba, later marching contra with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps from 2008–2012, where he served as section leader during his final two seasons. He also marched tuba at the University of Arizona and studied in the tuba studios at both the University of Arizona and Pima Community College.
Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Victory Autism Academy in Sun City, Brent has extensive experience as a brass and visual technician, having worked with programs at Cactus, Agua Fria, Liberty, Centennial, Copper Canyon, and Westview.
He is excited to continue working with the Centennial Marching Band and helping students grow as musicians, performers, and individuals. Outside of band, Brent enjoys camping, traveling, hiking, and spending time with his dog.
